Baby Monty's

Baby Monti

Baby Monty’s is our dedicated baby unit. We cater for babies from 45 days to 12 months. Our specially designed open plan play areas allow babies to explore with confidence whilst feeling safe and secure, with a mixture of social, sensory, physical and language development playing a key role in the babies development. We have a separate sleep room for babies allowing individual sleep routines to be followed and a purpose built kitchenette to prepare milk feeds and introduce solid foods when the time is right.

  • Our registered nurse is also located in Baby Monty’s to support our qualified infant teachers in their role.

Each of the rooms are named after the Colour Box 1 and 2, which are activities found in the Sensorial areas within a Montessori nursery.

  • Yellow Casa – is a dedicated room for our 12 – 18 months. Here the children have time to adjust to the environment in a small and secure group, b
ut also have the opportunity to explore the ground floor environment with their key person, which allows a smooth transition when the time is right.
  • Red & Blue Casa – these two rooms cater for our 18 months to 2.6 years. Children are vertically grouped in accordance with the Montessori approach. The classroom areas allow for free flow activities between rooms and at this age we introduce the Montessori Infant & Toddler activities, such as activities of everyday living (AEL) and Sensorial materials. As well as this children’s learning and development is supported through the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS).

Outdoor Environment

At Children’s House Montessori we believe that children have the right to play freely in many different environments. We are very fortunate to have a large outdoor area for children which has been designed by specialists from UK.

Our outdoor space promotes physical development, social interaction and creates opportunities for creativity. As well as our outdoor play areas we have a purpose designed Community Hall, which allows children the much needed physical play during our warmer weather.
